Factors that Affect the Planning of a Production

Important aspects:
-Set Design
-Annotation of Scripts
-Costume design
-Lighting
-Props

The mere importance of pre-planning a production is so incredibly crucial. First of all let's look at annotation. Annotation is more or less the entire drama. Your script without annotation is just words on a paper, without any guidance. Annotating a script gives you an overall idea of  what the set should like the position of the characters, the props that are needed, the volume and movement of the characters, emphasis in words, characterization, sound effects, lighting and that is basically all the important aspects of any play (BBC- GCE Bite-size). From annotating the script other production aspects such as set and costume design become an easier planning and designing process as you already have a rough idea of the theme of your play. Annotating scripts are one of the most important aspects to complete when planning a play or production. It is important for the members of cast, backstage, light and everyone a part of the production crew to know the little details about lights, exactly when a prop should be on stage, when a sound effect should play, when the lighting should be centered on a particular person, etc. Without the pre-production steps like set design, costume design, music making, annotating your play will be lost in the winds.
